Hello, im wondering if i can use a spinning reel for feeder fishing, i have the daiwa samurai-7i, any info on the reel would be great...thanks.

James, that is the way the rod should be, i had the same problem with my new daiwa rod but after good advice i now know that there should be a gap to allow for wear and tear.

I only keep my nets and seatbox in the shed, everything else such as rods and reels stay in the house, its too easy for scum bags to break into a shed, i believe its hard work claiming without the reciepts.

I use vitalin original myself, what i do is put it in a blender and grind it right down to a crumb, then i add a bit of proper groundbait (frenzied hemp original), micro pelets and trout powder......then on the bank just add the water and corn etc, its first class.

Maybe you were striking too late, practice will make pefect so keep using it....what i do is make a load of different rigs up but the main one ill use is a 4-6lb hooklength with a size 10-14 hook hairrigged and a swivel tied on the other end, make the length of the rig about 8 inches long, thread the feeder(i use fox freeline) on the mainline which is 8lb and then a rubber bead then tie the rig on to the mainline the same way you would tie a hook on and away you go........hope this helps.

Thanks hewey, i reserved one at prescot liverpool and ive just been down but when i got it home and opened the tube it was a catana ax match, it has full cork handle and looks the business, any info on this rod and is it better than the hyperloop?

What is the handle and reel seat like on this rod, is it all cork.

What does the 0.19mm mean because maxima 4lb line is 0.17mm and maxima 5lb is 0.20mm,is this daiwa 4lb like maxima 5lb?
