Hi Once spent a week on the river Ardesh in the south of France,that river was taken over every day by hundreds of canoes.At the top end of the river loads of canoe hire firms had sprung up,hiring boats for the trip down the river some 37km i think.never seen anything like it ,screeming ,shouting ,jumping in the water from the rocks ,nude bathing ,picknicking on the banks leaving loads of rubish.Is the same thing going to happen on our rivers if the canoeists get the ok. Shame such a lovely place damaged by to many people.

Hi Ken I fished this area over last summer on three occasions,found the fishing very slow,the water was dirty that may have been the reason.Is the area any good over the winter,any Codling about. Dave.

Hi For the small flys i use the outer case of a bic biro pen ,put the pointed part of the pen over the eye of the hook , form half hitches on the pen ,and slide them onto the head of the fly this also pushes the hackles back .For the larger flys i use my thumb and first two fingers to finish the head of the fly off . Hi I have a Coleman 17 scanoe for sale, and a mariner 3.3 outboard ,the engine is only just over three yrs old and has had VERY LITTLE USE .The canoe can be car topped,i have a costom made roofrack to fit peugeot 405 ,but this can be altered .It is very good for trout fishing in lakes ,sea fishing ,or just messing about . Hi Thanks to all of you for all your help ,i think you are all right i need to have a rethink .I looked at a p13 at Brookbank canoes in Stockport it looked very good ,but i wanted a kayak that is also good for touring ,hence the scupper .I like the look of the perception freedom ,do any of you use one,are they ok . I live in Lancashire in the town of Leigh ,i have to travel to all of my fishing i fish in South Wales,Anglsey,and southern Scotland . Thanks Dave .

Hi I have been reading postings on a lot of web sites ,trying to make up my mind as to which kayak to buy . The one that i like is the scupper pro tw ,but i know it has a narrow cockpit ,and i may be a bit large for it.I am 14.5st and have a 38in waist, not being able to find one close by my home to sit in ,or to try out , can anyone advise me .
