hello poppers ,this guy told me the other day says 30lb was specimen me personaly would say any fish bigger then the norm would be a specimen.so in lake full of 5lb which is the norm a 10lb fish would be a good specimen.i see you dropped from 30 to 20 lol.nice try.by the way we live in the north east an its not the best place to look for 30lbers,but he is a southener after all and used to bigger then the norm fish haha.

Hi people,could someone tell me what are tares.I have seen them mentioned in articles in the fishing press,and have not had the pleasure of using them myself.Why would i use them and how and for which fish species are they most used for.i like my fishing and anything that could help me catch must be worth ago.thanks for any help and excuse my ignorance (i'm just a novice). ps please no jokes about ripped t shirts or pants after climbin through bushes for your swim . tight lines the Bubster.

I caught it on catfood plus soft hooker pellets ,fishing close in on the margins.i also caught a nice poundish golden tench an about 5 smaller tench all with catfood plus pellets. goodluck all

Here are a couple of pics of my first ever tench.I haven't fished for long only about year and a half ,but it has taken me a long time to catch some tench.Anybody like to guesstimate the wieghts cos i don't have scales.by the way they are superb fish and will be having another go for them.cheers and tightlines. the bubster.

Big waters for me can't wait full day of local fishing on me club waters hopefully get some of these big bream i've been hearing so much about. woohoohoo

i have a ron thompson b52 match rod that comes with 2 feet extension it is nice good quality rod for 57 quid.best ive had.

cheers for the help people.the lake or pond has a good head of bream carp roach and rudd the odd jack pike supposedly.it is supposed to be bad to fish it in a northerly wind ,dont know why.i just thought with there being some mild weather up here it might be possible to fish it.you can only fish the easterly side becouse the rest is bog an reeds an reserved for wildlife sanctuary.merlino bill is me step dad an he dont know how to fish it either lol. the bubster

Does anyone on here know about big waters in the north east.like how to fish it with what tackle and were to fish.bait tactics tips.anything would be much appreciated.and if possible keep it simple,i'm just a novice angler.it is about 6 acres in size and 5 feet deep. the bubbie

Please could someone give me some tips on fishing ponds and lakes in winter.This is my first winter season as a coarse fisherman.i enjoyed a fruitful summer of fishing only to have my new hobbie shattered by the winter.i know the fish are still there but cannot get them to bite.ive used feeder and float methods ,boilies,pellets ,caster.i dont want much just the odd fish would be nice .am i fishing the wrong location.i live in the northeast and am member of bwac.but i am having no luck could someone give me some tips on feeding and rigs baits to use etc .it would be much appreciated. the bubster.
