  1. Hi Any comments on this yak, I think its from France. Looks like a Scupper Pro with 2 rod holders as standard. All comments welcomed
  2. You know where I am. Hope the Greve meet was good tonight
  3. One for the diary. August issue of Today's Fly Fisher (due out 13 July) has an article called 'Life's a beach - all you need to know about kayak fishing'. This month's has an article on Mullet fly fishing
  4. Hey Somers Trying to contact you and both PM and email are failing
  5. Somerset Tried to PM but got the following 'This message can not be sent because the recipient has their personal messenger disabled or their personal messenger inbox is full.' Sounds like you're popular!
  6. Sounds like a great idea to me
  7. Simon Great reply thanks. The ram bit refers to Derby not to a missuse of wellies! Now happily positioned next to the sea in a much warmer climate
  8. Thanks Presents a bit of a worry. My first yak and I don't want to start cutting it up! I suppose unless you are willing to 'pimp it up' you should expect to get everything you want. I'm now a bit worried about that phrase
  9. Hi guys I read somewhere the the angler edition SPTW rod holders were too square to the body of the yak making it very difficult to paddle and troll. I would appreciate any comments that you may have on this matter
  10. Hi Beanies In the process of moving so I haven't committed yet. Its between the P13 (smaller for storage) P15 (faster) and SPTW (fastest and good pedigree). Currently looking at a house on the beach but still East side, sorry Darth, I will not be coming over to the North side apart from an occasional paddle!
  11. http://www.bournemouthcanoes.co.uk/product...k-roof-rack.jpg Check the link. Not sure what it is made of so I'm off to Google
  12. Back on the bars subject, has anybody tried the inflatable ones? I saw some for £50 and they would seem ok for short journeys. Can be stored in the car when not needed.
  13. Thanks for all the guidance. I guess the final choice will be marginal. I live near Gorey so intend to do most of my initial work on (not literally) the violet bank and Royal bay. As usual I start with an idea then get carried away and end up spending more than I expected to. Usually it is worth the extra stretch as if you aim lower you become unhappy with the choice at some stage. I hadn't really considered the SPTW as OK's catalog doesn't include a picture of the angler version. Almost same weight as P13, longer and £70 cheaper, hmm worth a look. And yes I do intend to buy 'RAT' free, one of the real advantages out here
