  1. or sell the kayak and spend the money at the fish market lol. we had a couple of lads at our fly fishery who moaned if they did not catch ,wrong attitude and they left .one other lad if he catches he changes fly so he does not catch too quick . we have a 4 fish bag limit , so if you want a nice day fishing does not pay to catch too quick because there is no catch and release .

  4. hi m8 i tend not to use a taper leader like i do for trout (thick to thin then fly )i use a length of 10lb line between flyline and fly . keep it simple
  5. i thought the clown would have moved on when the circus left town . or perhaps they were fed up with him as well
  6. vlad its a bit like riding a bike really if you had never been on one it seems imposible to start with .but you would be suprised after a couple of trips ,you would wonder what all the fuss is about. there are some big lads here so you are not alone get some one on one tuition and you will really enjoy it . keep us posted on your progress
  7. very usefull those cutting boards used one for a adapter plate for my sounder
  8. no import duty here in the channel islands jokes aside postage is cheap as i can pay that from the mainland to jersey sometimes . paid £25 for a rod

  12. hi dave its not always that way m8 . last week blowing a hoolie . did not go today as i start back fulltime tomorrow. would be too knackered as not up to full speed yet but getting there the hyperdry is good though ,come feb,march time gets a bit nippy .also the mustard sea smock as recomended on here will be great with my wetsuit too. thanks to all who put me onto it
  13. adam got the sport boot myself complete with power ranger stripe tried my suit today ,trouble is the water is still warm here and the air temp so like a sauna suit . going out tomorrow with neoprene socks ,wetsuit and smock with boots .
  14. well suit arrived today got the large . tried it on , very comfy but was not sure if it was too big .phoned up and given my measurements medium would be tight and was i using internal braces. (daaaaaaaaa!) no ! made all the difference .did not know they were there . as someone said you do look abit like a power ranger

  17. just bit the bullet and ordered the hyperdry front zip with neo seals dry suit . went for neo seals as advised for comfort. was thinking of the palm caspian for a top cag

  19. nice one martin .so it seems they are not to generous a fit .do you wear a fleece under the cag .does the same go for the pants .
  20. used goop for transducer and silkaflex for the battery box , the box fell off 2nd trip ,redone with goop stuck well
  21. anyone with a palm top , can you tell me if their sizing is generous fit , thinking of medium for 39-40 in chest . also the palm sidewinder pants both the bib type and the ordinary ones 34 waist 5' 8" tall size 8 foot . thanks in advance
  22. good point aout cpr ,i am the first aider for work so have to know . mind you it would have to be an emergency for me to give some of the guys at work cpr yuk !!!! but jokes aside always worth learning ,
  23. why stop at not carrying flares leave the compass too we have gps . also no need for navigation children are not fools ,teach them at a early age and they will respect that flares etc are a must have on any boat . i could not believe my eyes reading that you take children on a boat without flares
