  1. Thats ok mate, just thought i'd point out the issue just in case any one else did the same, but had it on display. ? why red anyway? do your bait fish find it more relaxing prior to death? does it put them into a more clam state of mind, or is it like developing photos, or do you get them used to the dark so they can see better underwater? you could allways strap an led to the bait fish so that the pey could see it better...
  2. Please note the implications on lights when using at night and the distance it can be seen at. A RED light on a kayak is a no no, as its understood to be the port side light, as you should allways be displaying an allround white light, the use of a red light can cause a collision effect. In practice any vessel seeing you would always think that you were port side on. They would consider you as being a powered craft under way. May be you need a re think on this one.
  3. Now what would be fun would be to see him try and drive out with it still attatched to the car, or try and drive in with it on . He still seems to have to take if of before he puts the car in. Now if he was clever he would raise the roof so he could. now that would be class.
  4. try this: "You can eat it, but it tastes like S**t"
  5. were do we get the salad to go with it, or do we start eating sea weed ? Oh and don't forget the mayo
  6. so answer this at what point does the sea turn into requiring a licence? how far up an estury etc? Plus If you did have a dead one in your yak whats saying you hadnt brought it fresh from a mungers somewere?
  7. Get me right so if you go for sea trout or salmon you need a licence, ok What happens if you dont have a licence and when on the yak you actually hook one? as no licence is required for sea fishing ? puzzled.....
  8. Grant Have you had a reduction from the builders for the re-modling of bilbo's pad then. At your height the kitchen table would be to high. So i would sugest save your money and get a couple of orange boxes from the market.
  9. Excuse me, why not travel to Jersey (longer coast line than Guernsey) And we have more pubs. Seadoo would be up for it i bet.
  10. Our bean Crocks better than theirs...... Plus we dont have the problems they have with the amount of donkeys on the island. Oh well enough said
  11. Cough cough, age and quailty does not matter, its how you use it! And quoting Grant "I have the smallest on the island" For Grant size does not matter And yes Prowler does get it on more than most, but at his time of life its better than nothing. And Prowler, looking forward to another beer..... All in all a dam good session. And for those thinking, seeing a car roll down a car park (driver less) and crash into a Germans car on jersey was hillarious. Just glad he parked with a bit of a turn on the wheel else it would have ended up at the bottom of Grev.
  12. me up for a laugh of course. any time after 2 and must say dam can't drink....... but would be good to all get together, will you be wearing the pink carnation again.? what about the smuglers ?
  13. Bean crock feast. followed by pin the tail on the donkey (very long pin required)
  14. Right put the teddy back in the pram and look at the threads. If you have seen most post they all contain some banter of sorts all the time so nothing unusual about that, unless its your first time ever of having a bit of the preverbial taken. Secondly, i am not the snake, (no pun intended at you) and have not been getting at them "OK" i have been after the correct understanding with facts. Fact 1. they have openly sold factory seconds and saying slight cosmetic is a wording in sales that can and is used to enable the seller to sometimes (not saying now) sell without ever being able to be got at as its a blanket cover. Fact 2. It must be stated what faults they are on each specific Kayak, but this has not happened. If this issue is known about at Johnson as you have said, they are not playing ball (as it would cost a small fortune) to carry out the correct course of action, by notifying every dealer to get every one checked. Or can you not see that point clearly. In Plain ENGLISH Johnson are knowingly not informing other dealers about the problem at this point, as no directive has been seen by the customer, and in Law if this can be definatly proved they would be in trouble especially if their was an accident. Final point not getting at anyone only trying to help, if the comments made in any of the forums either about equipment or technique or plain advice or getting at a manufacturer saved just 1 life in 10 million it would be worth it.
  15. Not meant towards you mate but towards john the hook
  16. Have you also asked tghe major point? why sell kayaks with thin mouldings and why did they pass inspection and are they CE marked for the UK? Bit more major question rather than Ocaen Krakyak spelt wrong..... Infact will email them now as well...
  17. should they have a CE mark or kite mark to be sold in the UK.
  18. glad you held of prowler, but still wonder how many are out their, puts a bench mak when buying one later on as second hand how will you know?
  19. when testing look for false botom readings and distorted mid to top range images. Will be interseted.
  20. By the way, looking at the location ond design of the transducer location i can see a possible flaw. Correct me if i am wrong but does their not seem to be a depression were the transducer fits, in theory this will create an air vortex which will affect the transducers ability to function fully. This is why this forum has addressed this topic on may occasions, and go for the through hull method or as i do the suction cup which imerses the transducer fully in water and reduces the cavitation or air / water vortex affect.
  21. just go here instead: http://www.oceankayak.co.nz/index.php?opti...3&Itemid=72 the main site with all you need except the thickness of the plastic and how many coke bottles went into make it.
