  1. thanks to all who have now decided to reply, i really do mean that, well done Big Nick for echoing my thoughts, as to the topic posting having no interest i think is a load of bull! i would think every angler at sometime as used weighing scales, and then the same heading all of a sudden starts getting replys, its not the topic that gets the replys more like the person that has posted it, now there are obviously people who are friends on this site but please dont make it into a private chat room! after making the earlier remarks about the click syndrome i got a private message from a new member who said he'd found the same thing and echoed my thoughts, there is nothing worse as a new member plucking up the courage to make those initial posts only to sit there and have nobody bothered to reply. so come on every one dont just say welcome make them feel welcome. i do hope this has the desired effect and maybe that new member could one day have that reply your looking for,
  2. i know what you mean Janger! never mind we'll keep trying, Hi, spindle, i'm not sure but i think from last year you could buy your licence on line in one payment, not DD. maybe someone else could verify.

  4. i, P@UL, i think it can spook the rest of the shoal obviously depends how close in your catching as well but distressed fish do give off vibes, just ask the pike men. they sell special scissors for cutting braid and you'll pay a lot for them, £5 or £6 save your self some money and just buy a good pair of quality scissors, they will be just as good and half the price,

  6. Hi, Janger, i think you'll get mixed feelings about when is a good time buy your licence, me personally like it the way it is, i know when its going to run out and when to renew it, i think if you could buy it at any time of year for it to run for 12 months from that date it would be harder to keep tabs on when to renew, i think if it had to change at all they could make it a yearly thing e.g. jan. to dec.

  20. the metric debate goes on and on, with traders loosing out again today in court, i wonder are match organisers breaking the law for weighing in LB's & oz's, and the angling press for reporting results, funny a kilo roach does'nt stir the imagination like a 2LB. roach,
