  1. There's a guy in Saundersfoot that hires out yaks - most are Frenzy's but he does have a OK Prowler 13 Angler version which can be rented out. if you want details give me a shout.
  2. Great report izzetafox, lovely part of the world up there!
  3. Great idea Speciman, wish you had told me a little sooner as I've only just gone and purchased meslef a couple of buoy's! Still they'll look good in the garden!!!!!
  4. Myself I use the Thule Boat / Kayak Carrier 874 http://www.car-roofracks.co.uk/pics/canoe-kayak/874-new2.jpg The rubberry feet protects the kayak and stops it from slippage, superb bit of kit imho! Not the cheapest admittedly but aint that always the case Cheers
  5. Or this one.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kayak-Trailer_W0QQit...1QQcmdZViewItem
  6. Hi Dawsie, Yes there are quite a few from the Cardiff and surrounding area, where do you plan to yak from? Ogmore area or further West? My setup is pretty much along the lines of GB's only I dont have the extra eyepads on mine I use the rope majobbymathings just above! I've set up anchor trolley on both sides on mine although have really only used the left side (probably because I am right handed, and easier to pull up) No number 3, popped out yesterday morning, a little boy, another yakker in the family to keep me company now!!!! If your heading down this way give me a pm and you can test out the 140 assuming the better halve allows! cheers
  7. Lo Dawsie Welcome first off!!! I've just rigged up my Tarpon 140, I aint sure how much different it is to the 120 in that respect, but will try and get some photo's for you in the coming days, misses is due to pop anyday now shortly so can't guarantee anything! There are quite a few from the Cardiff area, myself included, I work there but live down West way! Where do you normally yak out of? Don't be put off, you'll find them a pretty friendly bunch here with plenty of info to be had! Cheers
  8. Cheers Richi, Just what the doctore ordered.....
  9. Lo all, I've got the drill all set up ready to go, heart is pumping as I'm about to tackle my first attempt at drilling into my yak, but what sort of silicone sealant do all you guys use, there seems to be some many varieties on the market but does it matter? I've been assuming as long as it's waterproof there all along the same lines, or do I need some sort of special marine version! Excuse the stupidity if this is an obvious question Cheers
  10. Sorry to hear about the prowler! Also got me to thinking, does anyone know if Tarpon 140's have a serial number, and if so where they might be located???
  11. think this should be good enough reason http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/6117060.stm
  12. This the one? :- http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sea-Guide-to-Pembr...4271821?ie=UTF8
  13. Absolutely gobsmacked! Amazing!!
  14. I must admit this is what I thought (did'nt like to say just incase ....you know how it goes ), so it is'nt the case the 2 are made from differing materials as a rule ie one more susceptible to Sea corrosion than the other? "I prefer rear myself but have a feeling that the salty enviroment will play havoc in the medium term " Have always been told that washing your tackle after use is a must, should get rid of all that salt from them nooks and crannies Cheers
  15. Upandunder http://www.upandunder.co.uk/ do it for under 76 quid, there based in cardiff
