Any one here a member of the Watford Piscators? What is the fishing like for Carp?

quest about 20 years and it was fairly hard but i keep in touch with the lads in the area and whilst it's still fairly hard some really big fish to be had.

what sort of water are you looking for big fish or a few runs .cheers big al

A bit of both. Its just that The piscators is local to me and just wanted to check it out.

Any one here a member of the Watford Piscators? What is the fishing like for Carp?

The club has strict rules about publicity so we have to be carefull about what we say ! I have just done 7 days on one lake and had seven carp to 22lbs in the first two days. All the lakes have good sizes of fish with Tolpits being the specimen lake. It is generally acknowledged that this lake is one of the hardest in the Colne valley. All the lakes and most of our river venues have Carp to a good size some of a larger stature. Generally speaking they can be caught on most baits presented in various ways although I recommend advanced tecniques for the larger fish.

I have been a member for a number of years and thouroughly recomend both the club and all our venues
