pop up HELP

having used the tried and tested run-o-the-mill hair rig,i decided to try the d-ring mono setup.problem is that every time i get a take my line snaps at the hook eye? any ideas or tips greatly appreciated :confused:

Is it breaking at the knot? are you using the knotless knot? are you wetting the knot before tightening? what is the line strength?

im using the knotless and its breaking at the eye.after putting the hair back thru eye to form the D and melting the end im wondering if the heat is weakening the line? i use esp 15lb :confused:

its poss when you blob the end that the heat is weakening it? tricky task!

no probs m8, incidently have you tried the rig ring and tie the pop up to that rather than a d ring? anti eject qualities are about the same...

is that where u use bait floss to attach bollie? not tried yet but could be my next adventure frosty

yes or you could use the hair as an extention which is tied to the ring on the shank of the hook
