Think alot of them try it,even sum of the pokey puddles try charging a fortune for a day ticket,as daz has said they'll soon drop their prices when noone turns up....Blackland lakes i hope your reading this .putting prices up and all thats changed is having numberded match pegs, must be expensive paint!!!!!!
  3. i'm a regular at shearwater and yes longleat is now open, said to be fishing well and yes , top lake is the same true to form.shearwater on the other hand is very slow, mainly due to the bankside disturbance and clearing over the closed period.plus the fact that it was dredged adding another 2ft depth has made it challenging to say the least  Please let us know if u have a successful visit.
  4. Whilst on a session at shearwater last season,a group of carpers were baiting their swim and casting out when an old couple walking dogs passed behind them, to the embarressment of the gent and the almighty roar of laughter from all concerned, one guys hook attached itself to the said gents cap,and along with bollie an all went sailing into the distance .one guys comment was "i didnt know there were 'CAPFISH'in ere?
