I remember when we use to get 20lb cod off the Kent coast.

Yes cranfield they are a bit rare these days all round the uk but there is one or two still roaming about the 20lb cod had just spawned so it was very thin to say the least a week or two earlyer and it would have been into the high the 20ss but on the other hand its a good thing the fish has spawned .
