hello all,

ive been fishing my club lake in snodland for about 2 months now.ive had 7 fish in all biggest 22lb smallest 14lb and lost 1 .yesterday had the chance of a overnighter.i had 6 takes 2 i failed to hit the other 4 came off.the lake is mainly silty bottom with a few bars .its quite deep i fish the shallow end about 25 ft. in places 11ft. loosing these fish give me the ache shall i put it down to experience as i need all i can get.or do i need to change something

You win some, you lose some. You have good days, you have bad days. At the moment the odds are in your favour, 7 to 4. Unless you've altered something that may have caused this particular bad day altering things could at this point make thngs worse.

Dean, are you sure that the fish were actually hooked? My 50+ years of carping, and other fishing, tells me that hooked fish do not come off.

Analyse where and how you were fishing, and you may well find that the two you missed could have been liners and the others also liners that got partly foul hooked.

 

Is it the Pollard you are fishing?
