Orchid Lake or Linear St. Johns.........

I'm of to Wingham for the AN Fish in and then driving up to Oxford to visit a mate and watch England v France.

 

I'm then planning on a 48 hour session on one of the above waters and am wondering which would give me the better chance of beating my PB - any pointers?

Don't go to either, got to linchhill and fish christchurch or Stoneacres!!

 

A lot more pictureque and less commercial (so don't tell anyone ). My favouritest lakes in the whole world. Stacks of 20's and chance of upto 40lb.

 

It's been about 4 years since I fished around Oxford (my homeland) but I doubt it's changed much.

Where's Linch Hill?

Stanton Harcourt, head out of oxford on the whitney road, turn left at first roundabout you come to and it's sign posted from there.

 

Look into it before you go, like i say it's been a while since i've been there but i love the place, weed beds, super clear water and climbing trees.

 

Stoneacres is about 50acres, most people use a boat on there to find clear spots as it's pretty weedy and daunting, Christchurch is about 10acres? and a bit easier to fish.

Isn't Linch Hill day only ? I don't know the place but I thought that's what I'd read. I'd personally go for Linear (but Hardwick not St Johns) over Orchid any day.
