Feature Finding

Ok, When you use braid for feature finding, I have heard that you put mono on the end to stop it tangling on the cast. Is this true? If so what knot do you use to tie them together and how much mono do you use.

I use braid straight through and have never had any trouble with tangles. If i were to use a mono leader i would use a leader knot and a length of mono at least 3 times the length of the rod.

braid straight through deffo, feather your cast and follow the lead down with your rod tip... NO stretch required period!!
