This might not sound right but one thing that has made me smile about all of this was the simple thing...................... colour, creed, social standing....none of it mattered they all helped each other i remember reading somewhere that New Orleans has one of the highest racist crime rates in America, YET when it came down to it they were there for each other, watching the news and seeing a big hard looking white man carrying the frail black woman to saftey, seeing the old lady holding the hand of a lost black child, seeing white and black emergency workers risking their lives to help anyone no matter what they looked like, what colour they were or how rich/poor they were.

Seeing the stars from hollywood getting in amongst the raw sewerage and reaching down into it to grab somebody then carrying them soaked in all sorts to saftey, some may think "oh its only a photo opportunity for them" but i'd disagree a photo op is kissing a kiddie in an orphanage, this is reality they are risking their own health and saftey to get in there and help.
