I don't know about the rest of you but I like to keep tabs on what Ellen MacArthur is up to. B&Q (her boat) arrived at North Cove Marina in New York on Monday 22/08 (Google Earth is you friend).

This little snippet brought a smile to me lips.

"It was a bit hairy coming into the marina which has a very narrow entrance for a 16.2m wide boat with 3 knots of tide running!"

Read that again. 16.2m is over 53 feet in old money. Now that is what I call beamy.
