What choice of heavy mono for tope traces?

Ahhhheeeeemmmmm, all i use Worms with 250 mono is crimps. Dead easy to make the traces up on a rocking boat, with no kinking and as i like to stuff lots of bait up and over the hook, no bulky knot to pass over.

I can get the knots done easily enough without kinking the line, it's just the slinky effect from the line being coiled on the spool. I read on a US tarpon site about pouring boiling water on which straightens the mono instantly.......does it heck! It just coiled tighter.

 

Hairdryer anyone?
