just got back fom a session on the kennet at northcoft newbury, was'nt expecting much seeing as weather condidions were awfull (very nearly did'nt go) glad i did 13 perch and six chub all on lobs! god i love this sport!

Welcome to AN - quite a few Anglersnet regulars from the Newbury area (and most of us keep blogs on here as well ).

 

What sort of size were the perch - the weirpool used to have a reputation for doing 3lbers - not heard of any that big for a few years though....

thanks for the welcome. forur of the perch were about a pound and a half so not to bad dont really fish the weirpool that much the only thing i managed to catch in there was a shoping basket! the canal side of the weir does big perch though ive had a 2 1/2 pounder out of there last season!
