new feeder rod and reel

hi all

 

i am looking at buying a new feeder rod and reel but need help to be pointed in the right direction. i will be using it on canals and some commercals. i want one with a reel that would compliment the rod and that is smooth

 

i don't know much about feeder rods and reels so any help with what to look out for when buy would be helpful.

thanks f quick reply have had a look at your website and read what you have said about it. i think i may get the rod as it really cheap and wont put a dent in budget. just wondering... if i use this on a lake and get a fish about 10pounds would it be able to handle it and as you said only 6lb line would that be able to handle it?

No problem on commercials Clive and a novice have both landed Carp to 15lb on it and Clive dais he was using 8lb breaking strain line.
