it was weighed at 25lb 4 oz using Reuben Heaton 60lb specimen hunter dial scales

That's a cracking pike. Well done. I've been fortunate enough to witness a 25lb pike on the bank (didn't catch it unfortunately) and trust me that photos never do these fish any justice at all. They are awesome in the flesh. They're just massive.

The best time to fish is when you have a chance.

Wow that's a pike of a lifetime for the lad. Then again if he fishes that water all the time he might catch her ma! A heck of a belly on that thing, too.

Second that

 

I haven't seen many 20s but was fortuanate enough to see a 32 last year and it was an incredible sight.

 

Hoping to see another one day....maybe on the end of my line lol
