Braid

I've just loaded 1 of my reels with braid and am looking forward to trying it for carp and tench.

 

Is there anything you need to do differently when using braid instead of mono cos it has no stretch etc...

 

Is it best to play off the clutch, or backwind?

did you load it with either some tape, or a mono backing?

 

clutch or backwind, whatever you prefer usually....

 

don't strike as hard, if at all, just pull into the fish.

I usually backwind but when fishing with braid I will also set the clutch a little lighter than usual as the lack of stretch can cause break off's (especially on short lines)
