If by "decent" you mean fish in the 7-10lb class

then give Pennington Flash a try.It is a large

lake just off the A580 East Lancs Road in Leigh.

It is by no means an easy water,and part of it

is a bird sanctuary,so please leave no litter.

It is fishable on a cheap day ticket,and also

contains large Perch and Roach/Bream Hybrids.

You could also give Clifton Marina a go,as this

also holds some very large Bream,along with

specimen sized Tench,Roach and Perch.

Fish both waters with a groundbait feeder,put

plenty of feed in and fish a cocktail of either

red maggot and worm or worm and caster.

Neither water is easy,so don`t expect too much.
