Hi all, Emberton Country Park sounds favourite at the moment, here are some details,

Emberton comprises of 6 lakes totalling approx 40 acres and about 1 mile of the Ouse.

All lakes and river contain a good mix of fish.

Pike to 24 1/2lb (sailing lake)

Carp to 25 1/2lb (Grebe lake)

Bream to 7lb (Grebe lake)

Barbel and chub in the Ouse especially at the wierpool.

B-B-Q's allowed as long as they don't burn the grass.

Bank side parking when dry.

£3.80 for 24hrs, £2.70 entry per vahicle 9-5pm. (out of hrs use machine, so take change)

Everybody still interested?

If so then a date needs to be set, any ideas?

Weekend of 2nd/3rd Sept??

All the best,

Gaffer.

Hi all, I live quite central in the UK, South Northamptonshire, between the M1 and M40.

I could organise a sort of fish in/get together.

Unfortunatly I don't have access to free fishing, but can arrange a day ticket still water containing a good mix of fish.

Although we all like to fish, I thought it would be good to get together and to put names to faces and have a good chat.

Who's interested and when would be a good date/time? (ie a particular weekend in Sept perhaps)

All the best,

Gaffer.

How many anglers can this weirpool take?

Surely if we are having a get-together we'd be better off on the lake.

Hi guys ( and Lyn)

Sept 2nd is the NASA fish in and conference at Burghfield, so some of us won't be able to make that dat in Emberton. I'll try to fit in with another date. I need to watch Graham and get some lessons in how close you can park to your swim. TeHe biggrin.gif

Hi all, o.k. then, what about the weekend of the 9th/10th of Sept.

I've spoken to Emberton who have said that if you do not want to fish in the night, but want to camp (in a tent), to book a pitch in the camp site 24hrs in advance.

The bailif will collect monies on the bank in the morning from those that arrive after 5pm.

Also the machine at the gate needs the right change.

Lastly, I've got a 2 man bivvy going spare.

Oh, and if this date is ok, can you let me know so that I have a rough number a people going.

Many thanks,

Gaffer.
