I cnt believe all the carp anglers on here and no1 has fished bluebell and has no advice!!!

 

 

I was thinking the same thing as it looks amazing and i wish it was near me .

Looks like it's worth a trip just for the copyediting opportunities:

 

Bluebell Lakes was established 14 years ago, opening in 1994, it has become one of, if not the very best big fish day ticket waters in the country. With Carp to 50lb to 40lb and a massive number or carp for 20lb to 30lb.

Maybe you can be the first to give a review of the place. AN seems to attract a more mixed variety of anglers then just out and out Carpers, as you can see by the amount of traffic that the long stay Carp forum gets compared to some of the other forums.

 

Even the Kayak Fishing seems to get more posts then the Session Carp fishing one.

Yeah I go on the 14th till the evening of the 16th so will have a solid couple of days up there, I will post bk on here and let u all know what it is like, and hopefully will have sum pictures of nice big carp :)

I fished Mallard last year around July time, between two of us fishing the method we had four runs. The blokes either side of us blanked but another one had a couple on zigs. I got two at 12lb and 16lb, my mates were at night and due to the dreadfull weed he lost his two runs. Its a lot of money to pay for fish of that size.

 

Fished Bluebell about 3 weeks later and had 18 bream to 7 pound. Not good, they all came in the dark.

 

The place itself is stunning. Mallard is shallow and weedy (porbably not now though). Its the runs water but even though it was very hot it didnt seem that easy to me, was told the fish go to high 20lb and once again for 30 quid thats a bit poor. Bluebell being a more mixed fishery was not fishing well when we went but thats just my excuse. It is a lot deeper and where i was fairly uniform.

 

I personally found a couple of clear patches and fished method paste with pink corn, as i said i caught and it outfished boilie boys around me.

 

I would give it another go but with the likes of Swangy, Catch 22, Waveney Valley etc all round me as well as my local club lake, there is a lot to go at in Norfok nearer to where i live.

 

 

But good luck when you go, will be interesting to see a report. I've done 2 night this year so far and its been bloody cold so pack a hot water bottle. I owe my toes to it after last Friday night. Even though a 1am bream tried to make me cold again.
