Coincedently there is a letter in P+P from Chris's mate "Barry the hat"......Chris died aged 72 in 2001.

I'm not sure if he was a member of the Cov circus sg though?......wasn't that Andy Barker and co?

Thanks for the info. sad loss of CB, his stories were the first I turned to in Course Fisherman every month and that was the first time around!

 

You may be right that Chris wasn't a member of Cov. circus sg, but they were active at the same time and it was the only way I could think of to jog peoples memories.

 

To those who didn't read Chris's tailes, boy did you missout on the best of the best.

You must be really old!........i'm far to young to rember reading about CB's exploits on the Severn, Lake Bala...his "Pike Valhala" article....and they way he took the ***s out of NJF!!!
