Sorry don't know what happened there, should have been some text, roughly as follows. Nice fish mate, I've never seen perch as big in the flesh. ( I can't remember the rest)

What is the best time of year for big perch, is it now?

Perch fishing gets easier from now on. However, the best time is late winter/early spring. There's a lot less natural food about then and the fish are feeding up for spawning, which typically occurs in April.

 

My own perch fishing starts roughly when the clocks go back and finishes just after they go forward again.

Most of my specimen Perch are caught on Mepps Aglia No1's.

I will do a piece soon on big Perch hunting,methods,where to find them etc.      

It has taken me a while to suss the biggies but I,m taking 2Lb plus Perch on every visit now.

My friend David (pictured above) and I have been seen to take 30 or so 2Lb plus Perch in under half an hour.

It took a while but the rewards are well worth it as you can see.

 

PS: Just dont ask where that location is...its a bloody secret.    

I think I know where you go - the first picture looks very familiar to where I used to fish in my area Dont worry I wont tell anyone - however, I might be wrong though!? Either way - what great fish and decent photos shots. You must be well proud!
