2lb TC Rods

I looking for a 3 piece, 11-12foot 2lb TC carp rod, that I would use for eels, zander, bream/tench, but not a barbel rod. Any ideas?

Everyone will have their own favourites but in my opinion older models could be better suited to the range of fishing you describe and can often be found on e-bay as the selection below which are all good rods. One of the Harrison Ballistas is a heavier test curve than what you are looking for but these tend to be soft with a lovely through action and any decent fish will certainly put a bend in them and are three piece..

The majority of rods in the test curve you are looking at tend to be two piece and 3 piece I think could be difficult to find.

Why cant they have Barbel on them?

I use a Masterline JW Barbel rod for a multitude of methods and have never used it for Barbel.

In my eyes its a 1 3/4 test curve rod not a Barbel rod.

Once upon a time they were called Avon or specialist rods!!!!

They are two piece, but the Drennan Distance Bream and Tench rods are superb.

One critisism I do have of the JW Barbel rod is that it's heavy and is not a great tool for casting. I've had some for over 12 months now and although they are a great rod for fish playing, due to the very small eyes on the avon section they'll struggle when you need to cast to the horizon! I'll be swapping mine for some Korum twin tips.
