New fishery?

Hi,does anyone know how long a new fishery should be left from the date of stocking till opening to the general public?.Do the fish need an adjusting period before they become active feeders or do they settle quickly?. :confused:

A few years back, a club I was a member of introduced some carp in the 1-2lbs bracket into a lke where there were none of that size. " were caught the next day, but then not a lot for a couple of weeks. I reckon it was because they were

eating the natural food before they found out about baits.

 

So I reckon it can be worth fishing for them inside a week. Don't forget though, they may be in a weak condition for a while, so let your concience be your guide.

Hi Billy Bob,I know of a club that rents a 25 peg Lake near me and it was only dug out a year ago stocked last April and started match fishing it in August.
