WickerDave junior finally gets the angling bug

After a very brief evening session on Saturday, which resulted in his PB 8¼lb carp, my 12 year old son Alex wanted to go fishing again yesterday evening. He fished the last 1¾ hours of daylight at the local gravel pit with me as the netsman. The first ¾ hour was slow and only resulted in a couple of missed bites. The Alex of old would have given up and wanted to go home. But he persevered and his first carp matched his PB, and was quickly followed by another 8lb carp, two smaller 2-3lb carp and a 1lb crucian. The final carp upped his PB to 8¾lb, and was added to the growing library on his camera phone. All caught on the float close in, rod in hand and float closely watched.

 

He even dreamed of fishing last night .

Another angler to join our ranks?

Lets hope so, not enough juniors on the bank in my opinion.

Looks like he will turn into a carper unless you get him onto some other species!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to hear, I always seem to see a lot of other anglers (like me) on the bank these days
