Length v Weight of Fish

Does any one know where I can get a true reading for fish Length v Weight.

 

The reason for the intreast my mate had a fish the other day had no scales and put it against his landing net which is 26 inches the fish was about 28 , My guess it's a barbel around 9 -10lbs

Sounds about right, but you have to measure it to the fork of the tail and the girth has to be measured as well to get a truer reading..Ray
