Thanks.

I currently have infinity duo in 16lb it just seems really thick and looks as if would stand out a mile in the water. Do you think I will have any benefit dropping to 12lb synergy? As the colour of synergy seems really unobtrusive imo

If memory serves me correctly Synergy has a pretty high breaking strain for it's diameter, I think 15lb Synergy is something like 0.34mm and breaks at just under 19lb. 15lb Catana is around the same diameter but breaks at well over 20lb.

I'll wager that either line in 15lb has a thinner diameter than Infinity Duo at 16lb.

The only benefit of dropping to 12lb would be that you can cast further with it.

You could try Nash Bullet Braid, it's a true sinking braid that will take up the bottom contours if fished on a slack line. I've heard great reports on it and am planning on replacing my existing braided mainline with it.

Rich si:

I was just hoping for low viz as its mostly margin fishing that works on the lake that I have recently joined. It just seems a bit weired seeing fluro green line going into the water under the rod tips!

Rich,

If the other places Elton & others have recommended (try them first) haven't got any, try

here or here

Forgot to say, Rich, .... Sufix Synergy ... good choice ... The Nutz if you want true abrasion resistance. Try Sufix Tritanium if you can't find Synergy. I've got some in my cupboard. I'll the BS and let you know ...... if it's what you want you can have it. I tend to use braid mainly these days, or Daiwa Sensor if I need a tough cheap mono

or you could contact i.e. e-mail the Sufix guys here and ask them where you can get it in the UK. It may be available from Keenets/Sharpes who took-over many of Relum's fishing product lines

good luck
