British Superdrought on it's way

31bn - Total capacity in litres of Bewl reservoir, which Southern Water is seeking a drought order to refill.

35bn - Litres of water lost last year by Southern Water through leaks.

Some years ago Yorkshire Water was losing 60 litres per person per day due to leaks (not sure what the current figure is), and they want us to start saving water?

I think that it was 93/94 when we had a couple of hot dry summers and Yorkshire water were planning to bring water from the Kielder Dam into YorkshireI spent two seasons undertaking fish surveys in the Tyne, Tees Whisk, Ouse and a couple of other smaller drains as part of an environmental impact assessment The plan was to pipe the water between the various river systems. At the end of the day the whole project was abandoned because of the uproar created by the ecologists and "maggot drowners".

It seems that man's need to catch fish to put back is more important than us having water to drink! The world is going mad,

In Africa people are dying because of drought, over here, rivers are low at the mo, so we have an alledged super drought.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

We do seem to loose sight of reality here in the UK a little too often.

To me it's a question of balance. When we do get a period of rain, linked with a high tide, we have flooding big time. I know this as over the years i have repaired loads of properties within the flood plain, Locally, Yalding is a prime example.Gonna be difficult to get insured, due to flooding. In times of plenty, do we here of stock piling in times of shortages, na. Yes the ground storage is low, do we hear of water companies attempting to pump water instead of getting it out to sea as quickly as possible, not that i'm aware of. What happens in times of heavy rain, yup the sewers overflow into the thames in particular, doesn't that send warning bells with regards to the water co's monopolies. Does to me. Yet what you hear from them is the general public must learn to save water, how about them conserving it for a change. We are in their expert hands i would have thought. Let them come up with some initiatives for a change. Before it's time to bring in the water tankers. ha ha ha, if it wasn't so pathetic. B)
