The biggest offenders are still to be dealt with so it might be prudent to wait until that happens before saying to much now.

‘Six more skippers, from Peterhead, have also admitted their part in the black fish fraud, worth almost £63m. They are still to be sentenced, along with four others.’

No constraints on anyone having their say apart from those directly involved and it's within the public domain without any constraints on the press regarding reporting. Shame the punnishment don't fit the crime. Still i imagine the judge took a guilty plea into consideration. Yes i know they had their quoter cut, don't make it a dissinsentive though.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Have to say I agree entirly Barry. Meanwhile the blame game goes on and those who some see as the real villains are allowed to continue without being held to account.

The Scottish Pelagic fleet is renowned for Black Landings, it has been going on for years, and people say they have built new ships on the proceeds of it. The gunboats could never be there all of the time watching them and with the stakes so high with the un-recorded catch being sold it would be hard for a Scot or anyone else to resist temptation I guess.

If I had been fortunate enough to be a boat owner in that industry I doubt if I would have been squeaky clean.

When you look at the history of the fishing industry it has always been based on fish stealing, skippers working inside the limits, a bit of over quota catch that is not recorded, the owners robbing the crews and everyone robbing the taxman. It is the culture of the industry since time immemorial, so I do find it quite ammusing when the public throw there arms in th air in horror. These are hunters we are talking about and to be a successful hunter you heve to be devious. When your prey or government officials put obstackles in the way, you find ways around them.

At the end of the day its only fish and a good game of cat and mouse!
