Graham, perhaps you will be able to smuggle a rod into the excellent Sea Life Centre.

 

If it's only carp that you are after then there is, so I'm told, a good carp pit near Potter Heigham, and another one at Aldeby. Neither of which are that far from Yarmouth.

 

Other than that I'd get hold of John Wilson's Where to Fish in Norfolk & Suffolk.

BTW Sorry Graham but i hate GT Yarmouth but its well placed for seeing what East Anglia is really about. Spoilt for good fishing too.
