Frenzied Hemp Dynamite - How much do you pay?

I had a shock the other day in my local tackle shop - it seems the dynamite frenzied hemp that I have been paying £6 for a large tub is to go up to £12 a tub (acording to the owner) :o

I know the price I was paying(£6) is well cheap but I was quite shocked at this price rise and will be cooking my own in future.

How much do you pay for a large tub of dynamite hemp and has it gone up in your local shop?

I think I read somewhere that Dynamite have been taken over and all their prices have shot up - can anyone confirm?

 

I have always bought big sacks of dried hemp and boilied my own but this year for various reasons I decided to get some tins of the prepared Dynamite stuff. The prices were daft, but actually in my circumstances it still made the most sense.

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Dynamite Baits have been bought out by Shimano and all of their prices to tackle shops have gone up overnight, halibut pellets have hit new highs and as already mentioned the price of hemp is crackers.

 

Raw hemp even at wholesale prices is on the up and even at wholesale there's a lot of suppliers who won't give a price unless you're looking to buy right now or within a couple of days, it seems that the world price for hemp is going up and up and up so its getting reflected twice in price rises in the pre processed stuff like Dynamite sells

 

Not sure where it'll end but sales of Dynamite must be suffering as anglers switch to other brands

 

Don't blame the tackle shops for any increase in price, its out of their control and they're just as p*ssed off about it as the rest of us are

I would have stocked up if I had known but I got the last tub (from local shop) at the lower price a couple of days ago.

Before that I was getting them @ £6 so was buying 4 or 5 at a time.

I do all my particles in an old pressure cooker; keeps all the goodness in (and most of the smell!) and is probably 1/4 of the price of shop bought. Quick to cook, too. Personally, I've always thought the pre-prepared stuff was expensive for what it is - even without the latest price hike. Greedy so and so's :angry:

was still around £5-6 last time i checked.

 

£4.25 for the bag of frenzied hemp, 2kg if i remember correctly. Edit: sorry it was 1kg

 

anyone noticed if the price of daiwa sensor has gone up too. by about £3 in my local tackle shop.

Yes, it's now £8.99 in my nearest shop! I'm still more than happy to pay that though.
