Brierley pond project opening day

Recommended Posts

We run a project for underprivileged and disabled kids and adults in Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas. We have taken out a 6 year lease on Brierley pond to teach them not only how to fish but also teach them to appreciate and enjoy their environment, all the activities will be free and all equipment and bait will be provided. We even have National coaches giving free instruction, and are holding a big launch day in Brierley forest park on the 2nd of June 9am to 4pm and would like to invite everyone to attend. There will be lots of activities for both children and adults plus we will be handing out 20 free fishing starter kits to kids showing interest .We also intend to run taster sessions throughout the Summer for any organizations for the physically/mentally disabled or the underprivileged, if you know of anyone who would benefit or anyone who can offer any help with funding etc, or would like more information please email me thanks, (Steve). savage.57@live.co.uk, http://www.brierleypark.co.uk, http://www.facebook.com/groups/125073814266072/post-14627-1335993658_thumb.jpg

Nice one, hope it works well for you

One comment might be to up your adult day tickets to a fiver and reduce your membership fee to 20/25 quid plus joining fee, might make more folk take out membership instead of fishing the occasional day ticket

Thanks for your input mate but tickets are printed and it is already in the constitution members are joining the club at them prices as the fishery is stuffed with fish

If I may make a suggestion, it might be worth making the geographical location of the water more prominent on the website. It's mentioned in the opening day event announcement, but should probably be a prominent and permanent part of "about us", IMO. Mention of nearby towns would also help it to be picked up by people using search engines to find fishing in the area.
