Equalled an old record today

I'm confused - again.

You must be younger than I thought. :)

Before 33.3 rpm, before 45 rpm, there were gramophone records that played (spun) at 78 revs per minute on the old wind-up gramophones that came after phonographs.

They used to be called "78s" - hence the post

It won't be long before most people will have never heard of gramophone records, let alone 78s

...and yes, I am still "spinning" in the piscatorial sense.

...and BTW my "record" number of trout in a session (a 14-hour day) is 122 - it might have been more but I was exhausted by 7 pm and gave up - and I was a fit young man in my late teens then.

PS for those that like doing maths, thats just over 8 per hour, but the scenario includes stalking and travelling time from pool to pool, plus travelling to other streams once you have finished one stretch. Probably about six to eight miles travelled on foot, over all the types of obstacles small streams put in your way.
