the lake you refer to is also known as barmston lake, a mixed coarse fishery which holds some big carp and pike, was free fishing until foxpond fisheries took it overearlier this year .i believe that you can still fish it on a day ticket £3.50 on the bank.but do check first as they will be removing the coarse fish out soon to make way for a trout fishery. for more info go to http://www.foxpondfishery.com

Love the old pike marzi,i know that the QE reservoir near Ashingtonholds big pike but never fished it.

Got my best pike from _ sh** the name has gone cos I am Lashed! Anyway its not far from Longtown in the borders.

There are pike in Kirk Yetholm near Wooler and as a tease there are goog pike in White Loch,Mull of Galloway,close to my caravan. Never fished there yet but intend to next year. will post any results

have been to QE II lake a couple of times after pike but blanked on both ocassions.

 

Called at Fox Ponds Trout Fishery to get directions to The Willows Reservoir today the guy in the shop was very helpfull. Buy the way The Willows is next to the Swan Ind Est near Barmston/Washington.

 

Just as I was leaving someone caught a 14lb rainbow, now I'm no fluff chucker but that's a big fish.
