Ermm, up in london for the last time before the zil lanes close the area down popped into the garage on the way home, bu@@er, filled the van up with petrol because i liked the low cost they was gonna charge me for errm diesel, that me van uses. Whoops.

 

Now the very nice AA man who drained me tank for me, only charged me 220 quid for his efforts to get me back on the road again. The only upshot was as soon as i finished filling up i realised i cocked up and didn't attempt to start it. Saving the pump and the injectors. Pheww.

 

I am a plank. (only for today though). :lol:

Did it myself once 10 quids worth of petrol in diesel tank ,My mechanic mate said fill her right up and you,ll get away with it .He was right but it did run rough for a while :D

I talked to a guy in the pub a couple of weeks back. His mother was ill so he stayed with her a few days

and was running round in her car.

Then he decided to bring the family up here for the weekend.

Stopped halfway to fill up then after putting $50 dollars of petrol in the 4x4 realised he wasn't in his mothers car.

Luckily the servo is where the RAA is. Unluckily the guy was an 1 1/2 hours drive away on a breakdown.

 

So then the guy gets back they had to drain the petrol, flush the system refill with diesel.

Cost $420 :o
