Wireless printters

Has anybody used one of these. ? Are they any good. ?

I dont do a lot of printing, maybe the odd letter or e mail printing. I've spotted one for less than £60.

Any advice on what to look for on a wireless version would be very much appreciated.

Than you in advance

some can be marvelous..some be a major pain in the arse!

most Canon ones ive come across set up really easy and play ball nice. Epson ive found to be majorly annoying. HP not too bad and Lexmark avoid like the plague!

if your after something Ipad or Iphone compatible then be sure to pick something with Airprint, either Canon or HP. Canon have an APP that will work similar to airprint even if the printer itself isnt airprint officially.

one tip is to be careful to follow EXACTLY what the instructions tell you! ive had instances of people getting so far through and then stopping and it can be a major pain in the rear to remove all the software and reset the printer etc to start over and get it right.

so if you buy one, get your head around it all first before starting the install.

finally as with all printers be aware that the printer itself might be cheap but the ink will set you back a fortune and if you use compatbles you will invalidate warranty.

Canon are fairly reasonable but have smaller ink carts and in most cases you can replace the head unit which will increase the lufe span of the printer.

HP have large ink, tend to be expensive and lay alot of ink down on the page; but they are very good work horses

Epson are again expensive but last fairly well, though they can be prone to buggering up with compatible inks and in most cases you cant replace the head unit.

if your chugging out documents then id go HP; photos id have to go Canon; used to be Epson but the quality of their non pro stuff has been awful of late.

Thanks for taking the time mate.

After reading that, i think its a normal all in one for me. I would like to get a printer similar like the epson i have, got a load of ink to get thru. So two printers with the same type of cartridge.

Thanks again. Your a gent
