Any ideas of how to get rid of it ?

Well, if Newt and his fellow Americans get their brains and another anatomical part of their rear nether regions in-gear next time around, and the votes aren't rigged as allegedly they were in Florida last time, that should do the trick :D

I'd echo what Budgie says about getting professional advice.

Please bear in mind that you need written permission from the Environment Agency before applying herbicide to any river or stillwater. This is usually readilly given in most cases, although a site visit may be required.

Also bear in mind that the time of year is important. In particular applying herbicide in high water temperatures can de-oxygenate the water and cause fish kills.

I'd add that Casoron works best before any weed starts growing, and so you may have to wait until next year before using this one anyway.
