I've caught many fish over the road, downstream from this mill (you're not allowed to fish the mill itself) and got married at the church next to it.

Even if we're hearing a rather one-sided version, it's still shocking that the Council appears to be able to do whatever it wants without being subject to various planning laws and with absolutely no comeback on the part of the owners
