i fish at clincton woods in widnes which as 3 ponds they are good ponds,but afte a while when you fish the same place over n over,you get bored

there is also spike island/carter house in widnes but i dont feel safe there to many smack heads and gangs use the footpath for the canal.

i was wondering if anyone can reccomend any good safe places close to widnes what i can get to by bus or taxi,

i got my driving test next week so if i pass that i can fish anywere

have a look at warrington anglers association, they have a lot good waters not too far from you, both running and still, i imagine that you would be able to join in your local tackle shop,

Warrington own Runcorn Park Lake by yours. Its a nice little place to fish with reports of some clonking Pike and decent carp.

Spud as with all angling venues these days there is safety in numbers. A few local guys fish Town Park Lake regularly. If you can get down there have a word with them and perhaps you can arrange to fish at the same times as them.

 

Can't quite remember but I think you would need to get two buses. One from Widnes to the shopping city and one to castlefields near the Barge pub.

 

Don't quote me on it but I heard that they were going to keep Town Park as a day ticket water so that the locals are not excluded from fishing it.
