How reliable is a Palm PDA?

I got the missus a Palm 'Zire 72s' organiser for christmas, and it occasionally locks up, needing a poke in the reset button to cure things. Is this normal behaviour for a Palm? I could understand if it ran Win95 , but it doesn't, and it only has the software on it that came with it.

no its not normal, i use to use a palm and it never locked up. take it back is probably the best advice.
