Screwed up PC

Hi All,

 

Came back from a weekends fishing and found my desktop had the following little appendage, was unable to connect to the internet as my settings had been wiped out. Ckecked for viruses all clear, has anyone any clues??

www.windowsbbs.com and post that in the section that matches your OS.

 

It looks like your tcp/ip stack may have blown up along with the java issue but you need some expert suggestions for this.

 

Are you posting from the problem machine?

Hi Newt,

 

Yes I am using the pc, the only problem I seemed to have suffered was the loss of my net connection phone number, when I tried to go on line nothing happened. Checked settings and they were all wipe out.

 

Reinstalled settings and everything seems fine.

 

I then spotted a clipboard icon on desktop, opened it up to find this message.

 

Total mystry to me.
