ZEBRA - please don't post any more in ALL CAPS. Hard to read and considered shouting on the internet when you use all caps.

SORRY NEWT, I AM A BIT DEAF AND I CAN'T HEAR YOU. SPEAK UP A BIT OLD CHAP :D

Paint - acrylic should be fine on the polythene. BUT, have you got a little bit anywhere from DIY tasks? TRY IT FIRST (sorry, I'll whisper next time).

Failing that, contact the following folks who do proper marine vinyl boat names - NOT the same as normal vinyl signs from the local vinyl cutter. The adhesive is different, but should still be neautral as it is used on GRP all the time.

Have put my Avitar on my yaks, so far both have stayed on, did wipe down with some lighter fuel before sticking, to clean off any slime.

Like Simon says, there are various types of adhesive used on the vinyl, and different thicknesses, some more flexible than others, so worth getting them done professionally... did these myself though.

Right folks, anyone want a boat name for their Kayak - Starvin is your man. He can do them at cost + a pint - I distinctly heard him say so while we were out fishing. I am sure there are a couple of other witnesses to the fact..... :D
