I think the FJT's are the best Gary has ever made. I actually prefer mine to my Lythe !

Can't say it really does it for me. I think its all them modern looking holes mixed with traditional spokes, the handles fixed with big looking screws near the outer rim and the whole thing being bright silver.

They're not bright silver in normal light Brian, much duller than the okuma sheffield or bowler pin, they're more of a light slate grey than silver. The line guard stops any prob's in the windiest days and doesn't inhibit casting at all. It has 16 line lay pillars so there virtually no line stick. I think the wooden handles are great and the brass fixings look nice when the reel is infront of you.

Next time we have a day out i'll bring one so you can see for yourself, i'm confident you'll like 'em.

Here's the trotter model, it's just a narrower drum than the specialist..
