Pond Advice.

Hey, if you post up pics of 12 lb tench, you sure will become popular quickly ;-))

 

You could even find half of them have died or been pinched, you simply wont know until you chuck a hook n line in the water.......

I decided to give it a miss this morning as soon as i seen that the garden pond was an inch thick with ice.......................

Haven't I heard somewhere that whacking the ice with a sledgehammer can stun the fish and bring them floating to the surface?

 

Now *that* would be one way to see if those tench are still there...

Ive just been over the pond with just a landing net, i was there about 1 hour skimming the weed off top but it just joins back together within minutes... ...i think there is no way of fishing it,Isnt there any other solution because its an uphill battle.

Yeah, spend 3 or 4 hours skimming the weed.....it will thin out in the end.

cant you fish it using a heavy float and bulk shot to get the bait down, or use a ledger set up?
