Coarse Reel

Hi Paul, for waggler work on both still and running water I still favour my old ABU 501 closed face reels. For top and bottom float work I use a centrepin. For ledgering Im even more old fashioned and use an old Mitchell Match although Im sure any of the small size Shimanos such as the Match RE would be better! My match RE has a much smoother drag.

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Paul,

What is the budget you have for the reel?

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.
